SEABOURN EXPANDS CULINARY OFFERINGS IN THE RESTAURANT, SUSHI IN THE CLUB

SEATTLE, July 13, 2023 -- Seabourn, the leader in ultra-luxury voyages and expedition travel, continues to elevate its culinary program with a number of dining enhancements, including include new recipes in The Restaurant and expanded sushi offerings, aboard its ultra-luxury ships.

"Memorable dining is so important to a travel experience, and we are always looking to innovate our offerings to ensure we deliver luxurious and sophisticated culinary moments that exceed our guests' expectations," said Natalya Leahy, president of Seabourn. "We offer a wide range of dishes with fresh ingredients, sourced locally whenever possible, and our team of highly skilled chefs are very proud to showcase their passion and talents across our entire fleet of ultra-luxury ships."

In The Restaurant, the main, fine-dining venue on board all of the ships, Seabourn is rolling out two new recipes each week, which will total more than 100 new recipes per year. The new recipes will include lighter-fare dishes, using a number of ingredients such as fresh oysters, dover sole and more. By adding new dishes, Seabourn has increased the variety offered on The Restaurant's menu cycle. Examples of new appetizers include Gratinated Champagne Oysters with white leek & mushroom duxelles and Fresh Oysters on Ice with caviar, sour cream & vodka; and new entrees include Lobster en Belle Vue with lobster cream, quail egg, cherry tomatoes, cucumber; Roquefort Crusted Beef Tenderloin with wilted spinach, sunchoke emulsion; and Pomery Mustard – Tomato Crusted Baked Black Cod with melted leek, potato mash, chive butter.

The Restaurant serves breakfast and lunch on select days and dinner every evening, where guests can dine when and with whomever they wish. The talented culinary team prepares the wide variety of dishes a la minute, cooked to order.

In addition, Seabourn will begin offering "Sushi in the Club" on Seabourn Odyssey, Seabourn Sojourn and Seabourn Quest by November 2023. This follows the popularity of the dedicated restaurant, Sushi, on board Seabourn Encore and Seabourn Ovation, and Sushi in the Club on Seabourn Venture, which will also be available on Seabourn Pursuit. Available nightly between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., "Sushi in the Club" will offer fresh sushi bites and unique sake offerings, and guests will enjoy a menu featuring the finest ingredients that blends authenticity with a twist of Seabourn's culinary expertise.

These new culinary enhancements were developed in partnership with Master Chef and Culinary Consultant Chef Anton Egger and Senior Corporate Chef Franck Salein. Together with the onboard, highly skilled culinary team, they curate Seabourn's world-class dining that rivals the finest restaurants anywhere.

Egger added that his culinary ideas and innovations are drawn from his global travels, and he is thrilled to share his creations with guests. "Food brings people together, and we continue to evolve our culinary offerings to celebrate many flavors of the world and to elevate the dining experience for our guests," Egger said. After getting his start in Austria, he staged and worked in France and Switzerland, and then continued to travel and work across the globe, taking inspiration from many culinary-rich regions he visited, including Asia, India, the Caribbean and South America, the U.S., South Africa and more.

Seabourn's new offerings are the latest updates to the onboard culinary experience, including the recently announced enhanced 24-hour in-suite dining menus featuring an extensive array of elegantly presented gourmet dishes.

SEATTLE, June 13, 2023 -- Seabourn, the leader in ultra-luxury voyages and expedition travel, is elevating its 24-hour in-suite dining menus with an enhanced and extensive array of elegantly presented gourmet dishes, curated by the line's team of highly skilled chefs.  The new menus will debut on Seabourn Venture's June 18, 2023 voyage, and will extend to the line's fleet of intimate, yacht-like ships by October 2023. The new dining experience has been meticulously designed to bring Seabourn's signature luxury and sophistication to its in-suite menu, ensuring that each meal becomes a truly memorable occasion.  

Offering a diverse array of dishes, guests can enjoy these culinary delights either on their own or share the experience with loved ones and fellow travelers. Whether dining inside their suites or on their private veranda, guests can indulge in exceptional cuisine while enjoying breathtaking views from around the world. 

The new in-suite dining menus were developed in partnership with Master Chef and Culinary Consultant Chef Anton Egger, and Senior Corporate Chef Franck Salein. Together with the line's highly skilled culinary team, they curate Seabourn's world-class dining that rivals the finest restaurants anywhere.

By adding a selection of new dishes, Seabourn has expanded the variety of the in-suite menu that caters to every taste and preference. The new menu includes lighter and fresher vegetarian and vegan dishes, such as Rustic Garden Vegetable Minestrone a la Genovese, Franck's Riviera Style Vegetable Tartine, and "Fregola con Melanzane" Sardinian Tomato Fregola Pasta & Oven Roasted Purple Eggplant Confit. There will also be classic and traditional dishes with a twist, including Crispy Skin Fresh Alaskan Salmon Fillet, Thyme Roasted Jidori Chicken Breast, and Oven Roasted Free Range Chicken Sausage Casserole. In addition, there will be delicious dessert options to satisfy the sweet tooth, such as Tony's Childhood Banana Split and Black Forest Sundae.

In addition to the new in-suite dining menu, Seabourn will continue to provide its signature in-suite breakfast options. During dinner hours, guests may also order from The Restaurant for course-by-course service in their suite or on their private veranda.

Seabourn's enhanced in-suite dining menus were inspired by Chef Egger and Chef Salein's world travel experiences and upbringing. Chef Egger has opened restaurants in Singapore and Bangkok and appeared worldwide in culinary events alongside Michelin-starred chefs. Chef Salein's extensive background includes roles as executive chef at several two and three Michelin-star restaurants. The talented culinary team are experts in offering dishes that are designed to satisfy a range of appetites, and all dishes are carefully prepared and plated with an artistic eye.

SEATTLE, June 6, 2023 -- Seabourn, the leader in ultra-luxury voyages and expedition travel, announced a powerhouse line up of speakers for its Seabourn Conversations program during the summer and fall 2023 seasons. Designed to enlighten, inform and entertain guests, the complimentary onboard enrichment program offers guests the chance to interact with the finest minds in science, history, culture and dining. Scheduled speakers include Apple Co-founder Steve Wozniak; Royal Butler Grant Harrold; former head of MI5, Dame Stella Rimington; Michelin Star Chef Robert Thompson; and more.

The conversations will take place on Seabourn voyages between June and November 2023 and follow several themes from royalty and wine interests to expedition and culture. Each speaker will offer fascinating insights, expert opinions and enlightening conversations while presenting lectures, sharing meals, adventuring ashore, and socializing with guests throughout the voyage.

Alison Levine - Seabourn Venture Godmother Alison Levine is a history-making polar explorer and mountaineer. She served as team captain of the first American Women's Everest Expedition and was one of only 20 people to have climbed the highest peak on each continent and skied to the North and South Poles. When not challenging herself outdoors, Levine focuses on training others to become strong leaders. She was a contributing author to the book "Leadership in Dangerous Situations."
Heidemarie M. Stefanyshyn-Piper is a former NASA Astronaut and U.S. Navy Captain, having served in the U.S. Navy for 30 years. Selected as an astronaut by NASA, she is a veteran of two space flights in 2006 and 2008, logging almost 28 days in space where she has completed five spacewalks.
Dr. Beth Healey has worked in extreme and remote environments, including Svalbard, Siberia, Greenland, and the North Pole. As a research M.D. for the European Space Agency, she overwintered in Antarctica at spaceflight analog 'Concordia,' otherwise known as 'White Mars,' where she researched the effects of isolation and extreme environment.

Chef Robert Thompson, Youngest chef to receive a Michelin Star

Born in Bedfordshire, England, celebrated chef Robert Thompson acquired a love of cooking at just 10 years old. In 2007, Robert became the youngest chef to be awarded a Michelin Star in his own right. He achieved this at Winteringham Fields, England, before earning a star at The Hambrough on the Isle of Wight. Guests will enjoy a live cooking demonstration, experience Robert's Guest Chef dinner menu in the Colonnade and have an opportunity to book a bespoke tasting menu with premium wines. Dame Stella Rimington, Former Director General MI5

Dame Stella Remington is known as the role model for the character "M" played by Dame Judi Dench in the James Bond 007 films. Appointed Director General of MI5 in 1992, she was the first woman to take the post and the first Director General to be publicly named in the Government's new spirit of open-ness. She retired in April 1996. A best-selling thriller writer, she chaired the Judging Panel for the Booker Prize for Fiction in 2012.

Born in Cape Town, South Africa, Justin Van Breda was educated in English and Politics at Stellenbosch University before turning toward the creative world of design. He studied at Design Time School of Interior Design in Cape Town before venturing to London on what was going to be a year out. In early 1999 he started working for Nicky Haslam at NH Design and within 9 months was made Creative Director. During late 2001, he returned to South Africa to curate his first furniture collection, pieces of which still form the backbone of the designs. Still working closely with Africa, Justin's outreach and workshop programs are very close to his heart, and he has a great appreciation for the craftsmen and designers he brings together to collaborate in the name of creative endeavor.

Enhanced Internet Capabilities Will Offer Elevated Connectivity and Experience on the Most Ultra-Luxury Expedition Ships at Sea

SEATTLE, May 15, 2023 -- Seabourn, the leader in ultra-luxury voyages and expedition travel, has announced that its two purpose-built expedition ships, Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit, will be equipped with next generation Wi-Fi connectivity with SpaceX's Starlink, the leader in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite technology. The upgraded technology will provide Seabourn's expedition guests with faster service, greater connectivity and more reliable Wi-Fi wherever Starlink's services are available.

Seabourn Venture is the first ship in the Seabourn fleet to offer Starlink's Wi-Fi technology beginning with its May 12, 2023 voyage, just in time for the ship's second Arctic season. The line's second expedition ship, Seabourn Pursuit, will be equipped with the enhanced Wi-Fi connectivity after it launches in the summer of 2023. Seabourn's expedition ships will offer the best available Wi-Fi experience, allowing guests to stay connected with loved ones as they explore some of the most interesting and remote destinations in the world.

"Starlink offers Internet capabilities and functionality to meet growing service demands globally, and I am so pleased that guests and crew members on both of our expedition ships will benefit from this innovative technology," added Kathleen Erickson, Seabourn's vice president of technology.

Beginning May 12, 2023, guests sailing on Seabourn Venture will have access to the enhanced Wi-Fi service on board from the Arctic to Antarctica. The ship will sail on two voyages to British Isles and Ireland in May before kicking off its second season in the Arctic. Between June and August 2023, the ship will sail on a series of 14- and 15-day voyages to Greenland and Iceland, as well as a 23-day adventure through the Northwest Passage. The ship will then head down the West Coast of the Americas before reaching Antarctica, where it will sail between November 2023 and February 2024. In late February 2024, Seabourn Venture will cross the Atlantic, sail up the West Coast of Africa and Europe to be in position for the 2024 Arctic season.

SEABOURN VENTURE BEGINS SECOND EXPEDITION SEASON IN THE ARCTIC

SEATTLE, May 12, 2023 -- Seabourn, the leader in ultra-luxury voyages and expedition travel, is looking forward to setting sail on its second expedition season in the Arctic. In the early morning hours of May 12, 2023, Seabourn Venture, the line's first purpose-built expedition ship, made its maiden arrival in Greenwich, London in England where it will sail on two voyages to the British Isles and Ireland before embarking on a series of voyages to Greenland and Iceland.

"Seabourn Venture is a beautiful ship that was purpose built to provide the ultimate expedition experiences and take our extraordinary guests to some of the most fascinating and remote destinations in the world," said Natalya Leahy, president of Seabourn. "The ship delighted our guests in her first year of service from the Arctic to the Antarctic, and we look forward to continuing to deliver unique 'Seabourn Moments' and an unparalleled luxury expedition that can only be experienced with Seabourn."

Second Season of Arctic Expeditions
On May 12, 2023, Seabourn Venture will set sail from Greenwich to Leith (Edinburgh), Scotland on a 12-day "Lands of the Celts" voyage, followed by an 11-day voyage to the Orkney and Shetland Islands on May 24, 2023, from Leith to Reykjavik, Iceland. From there, the ship will begin its second season in the Arctic with a series of 14- and 15-day voyages to Greenland and Iceland. Between June and August 2023, the ship will visit a number of remote destinations such as Scoresby Sound, Greenland, home to the largest and longest fjord system in the world; Pond Inlet, Nunavut, an Inuit community near the eastern entry to the Northwest Passage, and more. 

On August 27, 2023, Seabourn Venture will embark on the line's first-ever voyage through the Northwest Passage with a 23-day adventure from Kangerlussuaq, Greenland to Nome, Alaska, that includes a pre- and post-cruise hotel stays in Reykjavik, Iceland, and Anchorage, Alaska. The ship will offer the extraordinary opportunity to travel one of the most infamous and storied passages in the world from the Atlantic to the Pacific, and filled with an abundance of history, wildlife, and unique landscapes.

Following the Northwest Passage voyage, the ship will head down the West Coast of the Americas before reaching Antarctica, where it will explore the "White Continent" between November 2023 and February 2024. In late February 2024, Seabourn Venture will make a once-in-a-lifetime crossing of the Atlantic encompassing the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, Tristan da Cunha, and Ascension Island. In March and April, the ship will take two sailings up the West Coast of Africa and Europe to be in position for the 2024 Arctic season.

Designed for Exploration and Outfitted for Adventure in Luxurious Comfort
Launched in July 2022, Seabourn Venture was designed for guests to enjoy life-expanding moments in exquisite, ultra-luxury comfort. The ship was purpose-built for diverse environments to PC6 Polar Class standards and equipped with the most modern hardware and technology to extend its global employment and capabilities. The ship is a brand-new innovative design, created specifically for the ultra-luxury expedition traveler, and includes many features that have made Seabourn ships so successful.

Along with an attentive crew providing every level of Seabourn's renowned service, the ship is staffed with a world-class 24-person Expedition Team whose role is to give guests the most from expeditions on land and at sea. Comprised of highly regarded wilderness experts, scientists, historians and naturalists, the team will regularly interact with guests, providing in-depth insights into the history, ecology and culture of the places they visit. Their valuable insights are offered both in formal presentations on a variety of topics and in more casual conversations over meals, on deck during scenic cruising or leisure experiences.

Seabourn Venture stretches 558 feet, with close to 30,000 square-feet of deck space apiece. Indoor and outdoor guest areas offer nearly 270-degree views, while a 4K GSS Cineflex Camera mounted on the mast of the ship's Constellation Lounge broadcasts imagery of natural wonders from up to 5 miles away. The ship is equipped with 8 double kayaks and enough Zodiacs to transport every guest on expeditions at once, as well as two custom-built submarines, each with capacity for six and capability of exploring the natural wonders under the sea in luxurious comfort.

Select expedition voyages on Seabourn Venture qualify for Seabourn's latest promotions, including the "Bon Voyage Event", which offers an air credit up to $2,000 USD per guest, complimentary two-category Veranda Suite upgrade and reduced 10 percent deposit; or the "Finale Sail", which unlocks savings up to 30 percent when they book a fully non-refundable cruise fare for select suite categories. While not combinable, both promotions are available through July 10, 2023.
